The removal of moisture in textiles is not only a question of feeling good, but it also has health implications. This concerns athletes on the one hand, as well as occupational groups who work outdoors a lot on the other hand. In essence, it is always a question of compensating for a difference in temperature caused by perspiration and the outside temperature, which leads to the formation of moisture on the inside – for example in sports jackets or workwear. Moisture-wicking yarns ensure that there is no waterlogging, but that the moisture is wicked away through the fabric to the outside in a controlled manner.
